Half way through this book I started reading Ugly Love by Colleen Hoover and that quickly became my all time favourite. Nothing compared it seemed. So when I finally picked up Breaking Matt again it just didn’t hit the same. Midway through it started reminding me of her previous books in the collection, similar storyline’s but I kept reading because I do love Regan Ure’s books. Happy to say the book improved and took its own storyline that differed from the previous books in the series and I quite enjoyed the ending. I didn’t enjoy it as much as the previous books so far in the collection but I did still enjoy the book.

Only the second book of Colleen’s that I’ve read. Being that I fell in love with her book Ugly Love so quickly there was definitely high expectations. Enjoyable read from the first few pages. Quickly became invested in the characters and their separate relationships. I couldn’t decide who I wanted Lily to be with. Ryle gave off that bad boy persona, attractive, great job, the type of guy every girl longs to be with and Atlas was the childhood crush, first love, the one you never truly got over .. how do you pick a favourite?!
Hit a few childhood traumas along the way.. definitely wasn’t expecting that side of the story. Despite the DV I feel for Ryle. His and Lily’s relationship truly did seem to be a love of a lifetime type of love. You can’t help but wish a happy ending for them. You can see how much heartbreak it causes them both knowing they still love each other. I almost wish there was two versions of this book, a more in-depth story based on Lily’s relationship with each Atlas or Ryle based off her impending decision.
One thing I will say annoyed me 😂 Lily’s amazingly fast labour. Let’s be honest.. all those who have had babies know it doesn’t happen that fast! I wish that part of the story was played out more
Excited for It Starts With Us release! 😁🙌
Hoping it reveals more of Lily and Atlas’s future relationship story as well as the past.

Obsessed! First book I ever recommend to people. Quickly become my all time favourite. Found it hard to put down. I loved it that much I didn’t want it to end. Knowing there wasn’t a second book I held off reading the last few pages to make the story last that bit longer! Very well written. Nothing worse then when books feel like they have a rushed ending but Colleen finishes Ugly Love perfectly. All loose ends were tied up so you weren’t left with any unanswered questions. First book to ever make me cry, I cried twice!! There needs to be more Miles and Tate series!!
