This was not your typical memoir, and it did take a few essays for me to get into it. Jenny Slate’s writing and imagination is fun, beautiful, and reflective. It was a unique and whimsical read, and the covert art is perfect.

This has been on my TBR list for quite awhile, but it was a bummer. The discussion of feminism was not trans-inclusive, used a lot of heteronormative language, and lacked intersectionality. Leaving this one unrated. 😬
