A fascinating dive into how organised crime used encrypted phones to commit crimes, smuggle and manufacture drugs, etc, and how law enforcement managed to read every message and saw every photo they communicated over the phones.

Avery interesting book but aimed at Northern Hemisphere readers as the stars, flora and fauna are not covered for the Southern Hemisphere at all.

I've enjoyed all of this authors other books I've read but this one was mostly off the topic until I got 65% of the way through. We can't judge animals by human standards in terms of evil behaviour.

Introducing rabbits into Australia was not really evil but maybe more misguided. Similarly other cultures should not be judged by our own standards.

But despite that it was an interesting and informative book. I did the strategy followed by the US senator near the end if the book certainly mirrors some more recent political behaviour we've seen. That was quite enlightening.
