Disclaimer: if you like accidental/surprise baby and drama then this might be for you. With that said, read this first and then decide if you want to give it a go. I also read an arc of this book.
I would rate the duet a 4 stars even though I think it shouldn't have been one. I did pick this book right away because I was curious how Noah would react to the cliffhanger in part 1 and how everything would happen.
I didn't like Noah for almost half of this story. Why? Because he came across as a manchild imo, there were just some situations that he was "unacceptable" especially at this point in the story but after that first half I think he redeemed himself for the most part even though I think he didn't grovel enough or in this case Madison forgave him right away but we'll get to that later.
While I was frustrated with Noah at various points in the story, I enjoyed myself reading it but there were some things that weren't ok for me.
Spoiler section:
I'm not sure if I glossed over this or if it simply wasn't explicit enough in the story but i think the 'when' Noah became infertile should have been emphasized because for the most part of the story I was convinced he was just dumb because he had Chris so why not another and that whole thing only came clear to me almost at the end and maybe that was the intent all along but all that did was make me think of Noah as unreasonable and a self centered man.
Also Noah kicked Madison out because she "cheated" on him and she claimed the child was his and she only did that, not because she was telling the truth because how could she? No no, Noah thought she got pregnant from another man and she claimed it was his baby because he was a billionaire and she wanted his money. 🙄 The math just ain't mathing. Wanna know why? Because she never got anything from him, not when they were on good terms/ relationship and not after this separation. Zero. Nilch. Nada. So why he thought she was scamming him is beyond me.
What makes this even worse was the fact that 2 months passed by without him reaching out to her, not once. And he only went after her because he got his new results from the clinic that said he could have children after all. Not because he knew what type of person Madison was which btw was kind of clear that she never wanted something from him to begin with. So the whole thing was very much unnecessary if you ask me. 🤷
I actually loved when he came to Madison to apologize and she didn't give in right away and told him off basically however everything that happened afterwards was all at once and Madison just let it go as if what he did was nothing of importance which I guess compared to what happened, she's right but it wasn't enough for me. He literally abandoned her so she may forget about it but I'm not.
He didn't grovel which he should've and I think that's my biggest issue here. Even if i didn't like him for half of this book, if he groveled I would've enjoy it more and I wouldn't still be salty about it. 😅
I'm very interested in Killian and who he really is. He seems like a really nice guy so I hope there's a story about him. I will read another book by this author but this duet just wasn't for me.

It has been a hot minute since I read a Davidson King book and this was just what i needed today. She always writes such caring and heartwarming characters. Her stories always gives me a burst of happiness whenever i finish one of her books. 🥰
Easton is a widower with two kids and he's a fireman too. 😉
Since his wife died, his life has been his kids and no one ever sparked his interest. One day he gets a call from his son's doctor and his life changes forever and I dare say for the best.
He discovers his son has Evan's syndrome which is essentially an autoimmune disease. It was hard reading about it when I know the author went through this with her son too and I love that she dedicated this book to her son who went through the ringer. Shoutout to you Jack, you rock!
Finch is a fae living in the human world and he chose to be a nurse because while his power has two sides, he favors the good one and he chose to help others with it.
I loved everything about him but especially how he was with Milo, Easton's son, since the first time they met. Finch has such a good heart and I love that he was so selfless with himself and was always there when Milo needed him.
Obviously Easton couldn't help but fall in love with him whenever he saw Finch & Milo interact with each other. There was a twist about Easton that I really liked too. 🤐
I loved Easton & Finch together and I loved their unwavering love in face of what they had ahead.
Tru, Easton's daughter, was also a great kid. I loved everything about her too.
The last page of this book brought a tear of joy to my eye. Davidson tied this story very nicely and I loved it.
This story had no conflict between the couple whatsoever which I loved too and I loved what happened towards the end.
I oddly loved the other side characters too. I know this is a standalone but i argue that Miss King should make this a series cos I'm very interested in Finch's brothers. They have great potential. 👀
I can't wait for this author next release!

Damn, this was hawt!! Kristen was all in with all the spice and I'm not mad about it. 🤭
I really liked this story however I wanted something 'more' for Orion. I don't exactly know what... Maybe a conversation between him and Ivy, his sister, would've been it, I'm not sure. I also would have loved to be apart of Orion's & Smith's convo before Orion came back at the end.
I really like where these two took us and where this story went. A crap situation turned into an explosive and emotional relationship where Orion & Dakota felt right but others said it was wrong.
I loved going along with them and seeing Orion melt a bit compared to what I knew of him from the previous book.
Dakota change through the story was great. I like seeing her coming to terms to this dynamic she found herself in with Orion but also seeing be brave and go into the lion's den because others deserve help and she could help the Knights in bringing the whole thing down and Orion wasn't about to stop her from doing it.
She was a bad*** in her own right and I loved her.
Malone is next and I am intrigued for sure. Can't wait!

I’m pretty sure this is my first book by Amy but it won’t definitely be the last!
I love this book! This story has some funny moments and these characters are so heartwarming. The way they showed love towards Trista was precious and sorely needed. I loved every single character.
Trista wants to be a surrogate because she needs capital to open a charitable animal shelter. One might say Evie is the cupid because she had a mission and that was to find a Momma Bear for her Uncle before going abroad.
I love Trista. She is so damn relatable to me, it’s not even funny. She has a lot of family issues and the way she copes with it all is by rescuing animals and taking care of them .
Wyatt thinks he needs nothing else in life except being a dad. He needs to be one to fill whole.
He is grumpy but golden. He is the most protective guy when it comes to those he loves and he doesn’t care what others think of him. What matters is what those he loves thinks and that’s it. I loved that about him.
I loved Trista & Wyatt first interactions. They were honest with each other from the get go. I loved this sort of friendship they created for themselves but most of all I love the way Wyatt did his little acts of service because the one thing he knows for sure is that if she is gonna have his baby then he needs to take care of her so he makes her breakfast and leave at her door at 6am. He does other things too that just makes him even more lovable. He also had his embarrassing moments which are adorable!
He also can’t say no to her since the beginning so at first he had a goat, Millie but by the way of the story his home was like a Zoo which I loved.
Trista had some commitment issues but Wyatt decided that not even that would stand in his way of getting his woman. The way his family also helped him was precious. I loved every moment of it!
I loved how the brothers also protected Trista and overall I just loved reading about this family and the new addition, Trista and the baby.

Noah Hayes , the big bachelor billionaire, was hard to like at first because he is a women’s man and sleeps not only with one but two women and it seems like it’s frequent 🙄.
I guess he was hurt by what the ex did but still… two women? 😅 it’s a bit much if you ask me but then a kid enters the picture and I must say that Chris, the kid, was what made me like Noah.
Noah makes a clause with the new nanny and that clause was that she couldn’t touch him or make inappropriate advances. Like how much full of herself are you? It was a bit of a turn off for me but I like the nanny’s, Madison, reaction to the whole situation.
Suffice to say, the joke was on him because he was the one that couldn’t contain himself.
I like seeing him slowly falling in him for her through her relationship with her son.
Madison has a complicated family and she is basically the one sustaining her brother and sick mother.
I really like Madison. She is kind and I love the way she is with Chris. Her relationship with him was definitely the highlight for me in this story.
Chris is adorable! He is much like his father but he just wants a mother and once he warms up to Madison, it’s game over. I love him so much!
Now the conflict for the next part is obvious from the very beginning and I’m honestly fine with it but I don’t really like the fact that this is a duet because it’s not necessarily. This could’ve easily been one book.
I don’t really like Noah thinking regarding the media thing but I get why. I really hope he doesn’t shut down and push Madison away and cause heartache for everyone just because his company is more important than the people he thinks as family but we’ll see.
The third act was also very predictable but I liked how it played out. I was honestly surprised that the guy 🤐reacted the way he did but I like where the situation ended.
All in all I enjoyed myself a lot and I read it in one sitting however my feelings towards it were mixed. I look forward to part two because I want Chris to have a family and Madison to get her hea. Regarding my feelings towards Noah, his reactions in part 2 will ultimately determine how I feel about him.
Again this should’ve been one book but I wanna know what happens next.

I was actually excited to read about Viktor & Marlena. She is the type who doesn't want or need a relationship whereas Viktor knew since the first he saw her, that she was the one so I was in for a ride.
This type of story has the potential to annoy me when the fmc just refuses a relationship with a man who actually does everything for her but this story was not it. I actually loved Marlena and how she handled everything including Viktor.
Viktor was such a patient guy but not too patient you know. He pushed Marlena at the right times but also let her pull back when she needed it. I really liked their dynamic and how they progressed in their relationship. Viktor is also very protective, possessive and likes control much like Andrei but he compromised a lot with Marlena which I very much liked to see.
Marlena's view on relationship was very tainted by her past but nothing like a man who won't bulge no matter what to show her that not all hope is lost and that love is possible for her, she just had a give in a little and her world would be rocked.
I liked seeing Marlena just being convinced little by little that Viktor wasn't going anywhere.
I'm actually very excited for Sergei's book. I feel like that one is gonna be so good. Can't wait so read more about him. I feel like he was the cousin who liked relationships the most but because of an ex, he hates them but that's about to change and I can't wait.

This is my first book by this author. I loved Andrei but Izzy was a bit more difficult to love but that has to do with my preferences than anything else. I was also a bit confused about what this was. I just assumed by the end of it that Andrei is the boss of the russian mafia in this city because he is russian. I don't remember reading anything specific about this topic besides someone saying they do shady stuff, whatever that means.
When Andrei decides something, he does it whether that means keeping someone from going places or not. If he wants someone then he will do anything to have her and Izzy was the one. I liked that he punished her 😉.
Izzy has selective amnesia so she comes to her hometown where stuff went down to try and see if she can remember what happened years ago but all that puts her in Andrei's sights.
Izzy was such a brat though and I appreciate bratness but she was too much for me and hence why I mentioned above that this is about preferences. I feel like her bratiness/ stubbornness at times put her in danger which to me at some point came across as her being a brat/stubborn just for the sake of it which in turn made her kind of a dummy imo. i liked her for the most part but her being such a brat brought the story down for me but if you like this type of fmc and wanna dip your toes in mafia then this is for you. Just expect a bit of a spanking here and there. 🙃

This couple had an interesting set up in the previous book and all in all I loved it.
Maisy is on par with the other FMC's in this series. She has some funny curse words. After everything she went through, she ended up gaining a stalker aka the one. 😉
I liked that she didn't show much fear when she received some less than desirable gifts from Nico. She just wasn't afraid of Nico however she was very afraid of the power he had over her body.
Nico was a delight especially when he thought that letting Maisy refuse him and giving her questionable gifts was enough to apologize for what he did in the previous book. 😅
I think he was already too much in love by that point. I love how willing to spill other's 🩸 he was whenever it was warranted but also how possessive of her he was.
I must say I was somewhat skeptical of the promise he gave Maisy and that he would in fact stop his takeover plan but the author surprised me in that regard. The man was too far gone to think about anything but Maisy. 🥰
I wish Maisy told earlier about what she found out but I'm assuming that it's gonna be relevant in Marco's book which I'm very excited for.
What Marco did when he met Maisy was shady but I think I'll get over it soon because of what I've seen so far, he is a good guy but with a lot of resentment inside his heart. I have high expectations for him.
I loved seeing all the previous characters in one place and seeing how they all dealt with each other. I think the whole situation was well handed and I look forward to see more of them together in one place and trying to be a family without deadly looks. 🙃
