A wholesome book about friendship and looking out for the people you love. It was light and innocent in some ways.  Just what I needed right now.

Themes of ageism throughout the novel.

My only criticism is that it could of been 100-150 pages less.

It's all about greed, jealousy, popularity status and trashy gossip in this novel that focuses on the publishing industry and social media. There were other elements and themes to it, but I didn't feel it.  Which is a shame.

I liked and sympathised with noone.

Despite all the great reviews, I unfortunately just couldn't get into this one.

Another historical event that I wasn't aware of and enjoyed reading about.

Based on the journey of lovable characters attempting to escape the Red Army by embarking on the Wilhelm Gustloff, which was then tragically sunk by a Soviet submarine in 1945.

I highly recommend this to those who are drawn to war novels and learning about historical events they haven't known / heard of before.

For anyone who enjoys novels centred around time travel, suspense and good v's evil, this contemporary fantasy is for you.

I personally love escaping into a good time travel / thriller novel. It was the perfect escape for what was a mentally busy week for me.

A magical debut novel. Pick this one up.

"Grief is just love looking for a place to settle"

This novel is about Clover, a 36 year old woman working as a death doula and helping those at their end of life stage. This novel highlights the complexities involved with navigating grief and the healing process. It also clearly shows us that there is so much we can learn from those about to leave this earth.

A meaningful, special debut novel about grief, love and living. I felt it. It made me both, tear up and smile.

"Regret is the silent companion that clings to our hearts, reminding us of the wounds we never healed"
