The book is very quick to read, and although interesting, its brevity makes it shallow, not adding many different insights to myself, as I was already familiar with the subject. May be a nice option for starters, though, as the author writes in a very accessible manner.
Nice trilogy when taking into account the love story between Tengo and Aomame: a love born in their childhood days which resisted time and different worlds.
Even though I liked the wrap up, I felt the books unnecessarily long and composed at times by long boring narrative which made me feel like dropping the book, dragging myself towards the end. No wonder I abandoned this book almost 4 years ago and just picked it again because I challenged myself to finish my TBR list.
As a result, I don’t feel like reading other books by the author.

This story was amazing and had me hooked up from the start. I’ve actually bought the ebook version of Replica after seeing a paperback at a local bookstore in my city. The idea of having half the story written on one side and the other half “upside down” made me curious to the point where I couldn’t stand not reading it to find everything out.
The way the author interconnects the two main characters’ stories is amazing to the point where I couldn’t stop reading until it was over. I’ve read it all in 5 days! I was speechless, worried, relieved, tense... I even shed tears during the plot. Totally recommend it — and, lucky enough, I’ve also bought the second and closing part of the story, as I wouldn’t be able to wait any second longer. Kudos to the author. Brilliant. A real masterpiece.
