Okay but I loved this book way more than anticipated. But the whole time I was so upset it wasn’t MMF 😂

I would’ve really loved for this to be a duet so the story and characters could’ve gotten MORE depth, but I still really loved this. It was emotional with a nice balance of laugh out loud moments.

The world that this book takes place in is super dark, but the book itself is a lot lighter than I had anticipated. Though- I definitely have a skewed darkness scale 🤣

For some reason I thought this series would be surrounding the same characters, so I was a little surprised as I started nearing the end.

There’s a decent amount of to this story that I wish was explored and developed more, but I still enjoyed it for what it was. I think there was some missed potential, though.

This duet really just grabbed me by the heart. The first book ended in a cliffy, and the second dives right in. So much happened here and it was such a relief to read a duet that didn’t draggggg and bore me.

I won’t really say much more because spoilers, but you’re in for a wild ride.

And of course, for those that want some chili ratings… The spice quality is still very high and hot asf. I’m all about it. But I will mention that the frequency isn’t as much as the first book. But so worth it when it is.

HOLY. SHIT.

I was a little slow to get into this (because I was hungover). Not the books fault. But I am in love with this duet so far. The characters are deeply flawed, but their journey is captivating. I truly enjoyed the character and world building. It flows so nicely and enjoyed the pace too.

The spice is on the darker side but oh so addicting. The balance between these Ravens is fucking addicting. Such a perfect dance of praise and degred. The dirty talk is on point and my words won’t do it justice.

If you’re looking for a dark fantasy with MFM, look no further.
