Cute

Spectacular! Gimme fourteen of them right now!

I knew from the first teaser that I was going to love this, and I was right! Burn It Down was absolutely fantastic, and chock full of sweet and steamy goodness.

Kade, Spencer, and Elijah are 😍😍😍

𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝘁𝗼 𝗲𝘅𝗽𝗲𝗰𝘁:
- parent x teacher
- firefighter MC
- single dad
- a sprinkle of angst
- small town romance
- enemies to lovers (sort of)
- bi awakening (sort of)
- first times

I genuinely don't understand why this was not more hyped up than it was, because this was absolutely fantastic and nothing like I expected.

Escaping his abusive marriage, Rob heads to Gaynor Beach to raise his two small children, where he meets Danny. The two have an instant connection, with Danny feeling very protective of Rob and his family, and the two become friends. Their relationship slowly and sweetly evolves into more, and was such a cute listen!

Dec and Noah’s story was so fluffy and cute. Super fast burn, as they used to be childhood besties, and zero angst.

I do wish there had been plot than spice, but what we got was still pretty great.

A tragic accident on her wedding day ends up completely changing the course of Marnie’s life, and she is left navigating her new future with the man who caused it.

I’ll be honest, if I were in Marnie’s place, I’m not so sure I would have been as forgiving as she was with Grady—even if he did save her life.

However, she’s sunshine incarnate and in spite of the life she imagined herself having crumbling around her, she continued to see the good in everything.

Despite how they met, Grady and Marnie just work. They balance each other out well, and their friendship turned romance was super sweet.

What to expect:
  • car accident meet “cute”
  • trauma bonding
  • small town romance
  • age gap
  • grumpy x sunshine
  • friends to lovers

CW: on page car accident, injuries and blood sustained from said crash, emergency medical procedures, mentions of infertility/pregnancy, grief, abandonment, mental health rep, parental abandonment, mentions of divorce

Maybe it was the tropes, or the gorgeous Sicilian setting, or the 'will they, won't they, ope they did' push and pull between Maya and Conor, but I, a profound AH hate reader, devoured and LOVED this.

What to expect:
- dual timeline
- destination wedding (Eli + Rue)
- brother's best friend + business partner
- age gap (38M/23F)
- forbidden
- mutual pining
- ✨ tension ✨
- found family
- slow burn
- nicknames

I'm a sucker for single dad romances, and absolutely ate up Steamy Dreamy Hearts. The forbidden aspect of Smack and Caleb's romance was also *chefs kiss*
