Newly divorced Robert meets his fated mate, a much younger widowed single father, while working at his sonโs daycare center.
Jackson is sweet and kind, but Robert has a lot of hang ups about their pairingโnamely how much older he is than Jackson.
Fate has other plans though and Robert unexpectedly goes into heat, something he mistakes for hot flashes given his age, while out on a date with Jackson.
But fate isnโt done with them and gives them an even bigger surpriseโa baby.

Honestly torn on what to rate this. The Price of Ice was so heartbreaking and heavy, and I hated what all Kallan went through.
I almost DNF few times, not because of the subject material, but mostly because this is a bit drawn out and I kept losing focus

Claimed by the Mountain Man had a lot of potential to be good. The premise of two broken and grieving men coming together to heal and find love again sounds like it would be a fantastic read, but this fell flat for me.
Everything felt so rushed and thrown together, with no real build up or tension between Cooper or Gage. Then once we learn about their pasts, the story just falls apart and ends rather abruptly.
