This is definitely one of my new favorite contemporary romance series. The last book was one of the best in the series. The fake dating trope took me by surprise. I wouldn't have thought that a fake dating book would have me so entranced.
Not only did the plot have me looked, but the visuals of all her glamorous photo shoots and the trip to Italy and other amazing places were so fun to read about.
Then the epilogue at the ended the series beautifully.

This is a short and sweet novella about Remy, Fenrin, and Heather's life before the fae found them. It's not necessary to read this before The High Mountain Court, but it adds depth and background content for their characters. I enjoyed it. The story was written well.

I enjoyed this Romeo and Juliette (Roman and Ette) retelling. This is if Romeo and Juliet are in a modern day private school and both of their Houses are ancient and magical. Romeo is also a cheeky bad boy.
The beginning was a bit slow for me. It took me a minute to understand the level of humor. There is a lot of self references. I plan to read more from this author.

I very much enjoyed this book. It pokes fun at all traditional contemporary romance novels, and I enjoyed that part thoroughly. By the author addressing the tropes and themes that are most seen in romance novels, it gives the reader permission to laugh at the ridiculousness that romance sometimes is.
There are some authors that know how to grab people and pull them into the book with all the "real life" and authentic emotions and conversations. Emily Henry is one of those authors. Similarly to Colleen Hoover and Ali Hazelwood.

The first book was not my absolute favorite. But this one had me by the throat the whole way through. The arranged marriage/forced proximity trope was at it's finest in this book.
I loved every second of the witty banter and originality of this story. I'm excited to read the next one.

I love this series so much. It's only a 4 instead of a 5 star, because I personally find F-F romance to be very interesting for me. I need some M in there to keep my interest during a spicy scene. But this entire cast of characters is so well written.
This book was really slow to start with. It was a 3 star for me for a long time, until the last 40 % where the writing was so good. It really livened the whole book and brought it up to a 3 star.
This book also really set up the plot for the next book. Just from what I know in this book, I can't wait to read the next.

I'm a sucker for the book from the male's perspective. Which is what this book is, this is the first book from Travis's POV. This couple is more real to life than your average "romance" novel couple. This book along with the After series will live rent free in my brain for a long time.
