This book had more twists and turns that I could possibly predict in a lifetime. There are parts of this book that I wasn't totally on board with until the very end. The moral conundrum that the main characters have gotten themselves into is usually one that I dnf, but I felt like this was going a different direction, and it did. NOW I HAVE TO HAVE BOOK 4. Apparently J. M. Kearl is writing it right now.

This series is available on KU and on Everand for those who have those services.

This series is my new obsession. If you love ACOTAR and From Blood and Ash, then you need to read this series. It has enemies-to-lovers, touch-her-and-you-die, arranged marriage, High Fae King and Queen, and so many twists in the story. I've not been able to put these down since I started them. They're on KU and Everand.

This book was so good! I can't believe I haven't seen more content about it. When two young women, a princess and her hand-maid are forced to seduce the Dragon King or be killed by a spell that's been placed on them. SO. GOOD.

The only negative comment I have is that it was too short. I feel like there could have been more content. Maybe more flash backs or more time to develop the bonds between the characters.

Enemies to lovers, shifter romance, touch her and you die, harem romance, and FMF and FF and MF. The dynamic between these three characters. I cannot get enough of it. I cannot wait for the next one. This book is on Kindle Unlimited as well as the audio is available through Kindle Unlimited.

This book is so beautiful. It describes the meeting of people who work together despite the awkward emotions that are involved. The move beyond those awkward and uncomfortable emotions are able to find forever friendships despite their pasts. I love love love this series so much. I will most likely be adding it to my serial-killer collection of books I love.

This series is definitely my new obsession I loved it sooooo much. The writing, the magic system, the pacing of the book, the twists and surprises, and most importantly the depth of each character. I would recommend this series to any fantasy lover. But in particular ACOTAR and Blood and Ash fans will LOVE this series.

This first book gives a lot of Throne of Glass and ACOTAR vibes with the fae, magic, young women in hiding, learning her strengths, and fighting for herself and her loved ones alive and dead.

Can't wait to read the next one.

All fantasy readers NEED to read this series. I cannot stress this enough!

This book is a masterwork! I'm not sure why I haven't heard more about this book before now. Without giving anything away, this book is a smashing together of the Hunger Games, Ender's Game, Ready Player One, and Uglies Series.

Darrow is a young man who lives on a futuristic Mars. Where his job is to terraform Mars into an inhabitable plant for the race of humans who can no longer live on Earth. The supplies given to them by the Silver's is not enough to sustain him or his family, but they continue on for the good of humanity. He continues to drill into the red earth to mine H3.

His world is turned on it's head when he finds out not all is as it appears.

I'm so excited to read the next one.

This book was written by a man for men. Not to say that I don't appreciate the masterwork of world building, because I do. The world-building in this book is exceptional and the political elements are very intriguing. However, there is very little if any emotion to the characters. All the characters are written such that it is seen as uncouth to show outward emotion.

This is one of those cases where I feel like the movie is actually better than the book. The actors have the ability to show emotion without it being written on the page, because Mr. Herbert definitely barely mentioned emotions anywhere. Plus the visuals of this world that was build is more awe inspiring than what was briefly described about it.

I enjoy a book more when there are emotional ties between the characters and when the characters allow emotions to rule their actions at least some of the time.

I very much enjoyed this first book in the series! The story starts with a young human princess who is not well liked by her father, the King, and her mother, the Queen, more or less ignores her. She's sent to a convent when her first engagement doesn't work out.

Her father forces her into an engagement with the Shadow King for political alliance. The Shadow King takes her home to his people who live in an elaborate underground cave system, but not everything goes as planned.

I immediately started the second book! I couldn't put these books down.

I loooooved this book. The whitty banter was amazing. The nerdy cute was sooooo cute. Plus the characters have depth and jump off the page. I wish their was a 2nd book to start.
