Was this horrible…no. There were a few stories I enjoyed but I was honestly expecting more Christmas horror and I didn’t feel there was much of a Christmas theme so that was kinda disappointing. Like I said I did enough a few so I would say it might just be better for others.
I really wanted to love this as I love Japanese folklore but I was getting confused on a lot. Loved the concept of the story but it was just a lot of I don’t know what’s happening.
I’m slowly getting into horror/thriller, and this one definitely kept me on my toes. Everything about the Imposter creeped me out. The atmosphere was unsettling, and there were moments I had to stop just to process what was happening. It’s dark, eerie, and sticks with you after you finish. I really enjoyed it—solid read if you’re in the mood for something that gives you chills!
I completely went into this not knowing a thing and so glad I did. This book… wow. I don’t even know where to start. It’s dark, emotional, and seriously messed with my feelings in so many ways. The connection between Cora and Dean felt so real, and I was completely pulled into their story. It’s heavy but also beautiful in a way that sticks with you after you’re done. If you’re into emotional reads and heavy subjects, this one is definitely worth picking up.
Okay, so this isn’t the kind of book I’d normally grab, but I kept seeing people talk about it, so I gave in. Honestly? It was nothing like I expected. I went in blind, didn’t even know what it was about, and wow—I’m glad I did. The eerie, haunting vibe had me hooked, and by the end, I was just sitting there like… what did I just read? It kinda left me speechless. I’ll admit, the ending threw me a little. I’m still not sure I totally get it, but that could just be a me thing. Either way, I really enjoyed it and definitely recommend giving it a shot if you’re in the mood for something different!
I wanted to like this more but it felt like a lot was repetitive and it drug out a lot. It took until about 60% to really get going. Once it did it wasn’t bad. It’s a good story about grief and I enjoyed the thriller aspect, it just didn’t hit the spot for me. I do think others would enjoy this though.
Ugh, I tried so hard to slow down and soak this one in, but I just couldn’t stop. I didn’t want it to end! This book was filthy in all the best ways, I felt the love, and connection. It was perfect. But this also had me screaming, and then out of nowhere—bam! I got punched in the face with feelings and ended up crying. I seriously couldn’t get enough of it. Will always recommend this trilogy!
I honestly have no clue what I just read. I felt confused most of the time and didn’t really know what was going on. I could’ve stopped reading, but I wanted to give it a chance… it just never really clicked for me. A lot of it felt dragged out, and while I get having triggers in a book, having them before every chapter kinda killed it. It took away from the read cause I knew what was about to come. Wasn’t for me but I tried.
This book was such a ride! It started off a bit slow, but once it picked up, I was hooked and couldn’t put it down. I have a love-hate relationship with Jake—like, I get why people don’t like him, but I also get why people do. Noah? Absolute sweetheart. And Kaleb… oh my god, that man. Each of these men gave Tiernan something she desperately needed. She had to grieve in her own way, and she finally got the love she deserved. Overall, I loved it. It was messy, dark, and amazing. Highly recommend!
This was such a good, quick read. The build between Damon and Hilly was everything—I was hooked. It’s dark, intense, and had me on my toes the whole time. The spice and tension? Absolutely amazing. Loved it!
