Starts of great with new, placing all the characters in new and interesting places in life, but then just decides to revert back to status quo. The plot wasn't bad, but neither was it outstanding.
The villain was extremely underwhelming.

But it did have a lot of heart and Wayne truly shined in this one. Intresting stuff is set up for Era 3 and some cheeky cosmere worldbuilding and easter eggs were nice.

Much better pacing at the first half of the story, but a bit of an underwhelming finale, compared to the other three books.
Should've definitely been longer and didn't spend enough time with all of the characters, especially side characters that I, as a reader, was already invested in.

The Era 2 books keep getting progressively better, with a more engaging plot, better character exploration/arcs and overall worldbuilding of the Mistborn mythos compared to the previous ones.

It's not the most entertaining story, especially for the first three quarters, but you get to spend some proper time with Rysn and explore being a newly  disabled person in a world of magic, which was interesting.
Having Lopen be a main character was fucking great.

It's a novella, do it's not necessary to read I'd you really don't want to, but you probably should.

Just as good as the previous two entries, except for one section where all the chapters revolved around one place and mission that frankly wasnt that engaging (minus the flashbacks, but even those only occurred once every 60-80 pages), but the ending of that section was phenomenal so it mostly makes up for it.

Great story, plot, some fun twists, character development, and character deconstruction (Dalinar this time yay).

The ammount of main characters and chapter povs, gets expanded and it's done in a way that doesn't feel overwhelming and like "who is this?".  A lot of these characters are people that we have slowly gotten to know and then been able to identify throughout the duration of the first two books.

Amazing characters, world building, story and magic system.
Delivers and then subverts classic story tropes in very clever and unexpected ways.
