After reading #41, I said to myself: "Wow! That might be the worst Animorphs book I've read!"
#42 took this statement personally and must have considered it a daring challenge. No. THIS book is the worst Animorphs book I've read.
The helmacrons are just immensely uninteresting from even a Middle Grade perspective. Infantile, overboard, and disruptive—these terms describe them in the narrative and describe them from a writing perspective too. They were awful the first time. Doubly awful this time.
Absolutely nothing to be found in this book to redeem it, and should I ever re-read the Animorphs series in the future, I'll go out of my way to specifically skip this.
