I tried to read the book ages ago, before I studied. I found the book too slow, too strange. Reading again more than 20 years later, I must have changed. I love how well scientific discourse is portrayed and joked with. The physics jargon is impressive, given how short time humanity had known of neutrinos and such and I completely forgive all scientific inaccuracies. I am fascinated by how a book written so long ago still could convince me that this is happening in some remote future. And as anyone who has read anything about the book knows, the book also raises big questions like what it means to be human.
