I really wanted to like this and it had a lot of good elements until half way through when it turned into a bland attempt at social/racial commentary with a limp horror element attached. The ending was just disappointing to say the least.

The characters and the plot didn’t appeal to me in anyway. I thought the storyline was gloomy and didn’t particularly like the stereotypes.

A nice little tale.  As I got to know Noelle, the main character, I found myself rooting for her and wanting to learn more about her past and the experiences that shaped who she is now. I was desperate for her to have a happy ever ending

I thought this book was fantastic. I was laughing aloud on every single page. This novel has it all: warmth, humour, and lightness.

Was rather slow, but a good well written cosy mystery book.

Ideal for readers who like a romance with a little spiciness and banter! I had a great time reading this novel, even if I would have preferred it if there had been more tension and passion. I still thought this novel was enjoyable to read. I admired the people, their individual stories, and their ability to overcome obstacles.  I would recommend this book to readers who love an enemies to lovers romance but them not really being enemies.

Thank you to NetGalley and Headline for a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

A very realistic and true depiction of relationships that are emotionally abusive and narcissistic. Although it didn't go into great detail on the psychology of it, and the MFC came across unlikeable but you feel sympathy the same time. However,   it was still a gripping read that would resonate brutally with actual survivors. Worth reading.

Fierce gripping and dark story telling, 'Speak of the Devil' is the story of seven women all of who have reasons to kill the same man. Their stories are well told and captivating, and I was intrigued to find out more about what had been going on.
