The Tattooist of Auschwitz by Heather Morris

The tattooist of auschwitz
This story follows Lale Sokolov who was imprisoned in a Jewish contention camp. During the holocaust, He became the camp's tattooist (Tatowierer) where he had to number every person that came into the camp. One day while tattooing a crowd he came across a woman named Gita (#34902)
He fell in love with her & she with him, From then on out they sat out to see one another whenever they could (Sundays) they would talk about their future together and their plans of what would happen whenever they got out of there, how they planned to get married, however, Gita didn't have hope for a future.
Yes, I understand that this book needs a better review but honestly, I can't give it one. this book is well written however it is very dark, depressing and you feel as there is no hope or no end in sight.
It's hard to believe that humans could be so cruel & want so many people killed all because they were Jewish or because they simply didn't like someone different. All those Germans killed millions of people under the say-so of one man, one man made a difference in a bad way. & to write a long review is difficult, just reading the book alone was hard, and thinking about it now writing this I'm sick to my stomach. none the less I hope people read it... Again it is a four-star book.
