I loved this book because of the mystery and intrigue. I loved the characters and their roles in the story. I loved the attention to relevance of the times we live in. I loved that even the insignificant things mattered.

Loved catching up with all the characters from Camino Island. I also loved that Grisham reminded the reader, briefly, what happened in Camino Island since it had been a while since I'd read it. I enjoy the mystery and intrigue that Grisham brings to his books and that his books are fast easy reads. Maybe I think they're fast and easy reads because I don't want to put them down.

I gave this 4 stars because it is true Grisham style and plot line. For those of you wanting a bit more depth and closer bonds to the characters you should read something else. If you're just wanting a "whodunit" then you will enjoy this book.

I really, really like this book. I loved the characters and how the story developed and ended. I feel that I got to know the characters and was rooting for them all, especially Daisy. I found myself relating to them in so many different ways that it made me think a lot about how I see things in life. I listened to the audio book and felt that it lent itself to so much more than if I had read it. Having the different characters played out was what I loved most. I did, however, feel that the story started to drag in the middle but it did pick back up. I highly recommend this story, especially if you grew up, or are intrigued, by the 70's. (It reminded me of Fleetwood Mac and Stevie Nicks)

I ordered this book over the summer from the Book Depository. It sounded cute and like it might be a refreshing read during the mess of the pandemic. I was right and I absolutely loved it. I fell in love with all of the characters and felt like I was part of their friend group by the time the book was over. I loved how the story and the characters developed throughout the story. It felt natural and just right for the time given. I honestly didn't want it to end. This was a pleasant surprise of a book.

P.S. It shouldn't have taken me so long to read it but life kept getting in the way

I loved the story line and all that went with it but there was no closure for me. I also didn't like all the fluff in the middle just to speed it up in the last few chapters. It only left me feeling hurried, confused and needing closure.
