Didn't Like ❌
- Lack of communication between characters

Thoughts 💭
The beginning of this book hooked me! So many unimaginably crazy and emotionally jarring things happen so close to the beginning it left my head spinning. The storyline kept me interested and coming back for more at every opportunity. This book pulled at the heartstrings, I was on an emotional rollercoaster from start to finish. I did find the lack of communication between Morgan and Clara frustrating, but with so much turmoil in their lives I think their relationship played out realistically. The ending perfectly summed up the story, I do wish we found out what was written in the letters. As much as I was invested in this book and loved the plot, I felt like something was missing. I can’t place what it was, the book didn’t feel like a 5 star read, but it was pretty close!

Didn't Like ❌
- Neely’s choices

Thoughts 💭
This was a second chance romance novel. The description of Neely and Dane’s attraction was beautifully written. I wasn’t a fan of some of the choices Neely made but I did like how it made me ask some important questions in my own relationships. I loved all the different types of relationships within Dogwood, especially when some of them flourished into so much more. It was a very typical romance book, I didn’t feel like there was anything that made it different from the rest. There was 1 scene that was more explicitly descriptive.

- Nesta arguing with the house 🤣
- So much raw trauma and emotion
Nesta and Cassian are 🔥
- Chapter 50 was beautiful
- Slumber party night!!
- The choreography of battle scenes

Didn't Like ❌
- Nesta's pity party
- Ending felt too quick

Thoughts 💭
Nesta dealing with all her trauma, experiences quite the mental tailspin. I love when she argues with the house over food. I did start to get annoyed with her pity partying and always pushing everyone away. Nesta’s power is so pure and full of fire. Cassian loves the crap out of her and it's amazing. I wish she would open up to her people already. The raw feeling of disclosing her fears and struggles, I really felt that. The slumber party night was pure friendship, it was so beautiful. The way Sarah J. Maas can describe battle scenes, it's the most beautiful choreography in written form.

- The ending!

Thoughts 💭
What a series so far! I am genuinely struggling with having to wait for Onyx Storm, January is too far away!

Part 1 of this book was full of the characters experiencing some of the craziest antics ever. As readers we witness Vi rise to some of the worst experiences with strength and loyalty unlike what she's shown throughout the series thus far. The end of Part 1 gutted me. It brought me to my knees and had me in a state of utter emotional distress.

Part 2’s pace was slower and more leveled out. The part of me that took the previous part so deeply was extremely thankful that I could have that break to decompress. Vi and Xaden show so much growth together as well as individually. THAT scene was perfect for highlighting the choice Xaden was making, and Vi realizing she is deserving of it all.

The battle scenes are written in such a way that it feels like you're watching a movie play out in your head. The ending was a mix of ‘HOLY CRAP’ & ‘WHY!?’, makes it very frustrating knowing I have to wait months to get my hands on the next installment of the series!

Thoughts 💭
When a book is loved by the masses you really question if it's going to be that good or worth your time, especially with a fantasy (they are sooo long). If you are someone who enjoys dragons, fighting, backstabbing, and chaos everywhere. This is a book for you.

Fourth Wing is a book for me! The first half could have been a well written novel on its own, after the last half the book consumed me. I feel like I am living, breathing Fourth Wing and all the characters. Every chapter left me wanting more.

Violet’s character development was perfect. The amount of strong emotions that were brought out of me were some that I hadn't felt while reading in a long time. I am ready and more than willing to dive back into this world through Iron Flame. I'm not ready to leave these characters and their trials just yet!

Sophia Belle has a way with her writing. Travis and Sophie's story is one for the masses. I have grown so invested in this series, how all the characters love so openly and how they face real life struggles when entering their relationships.

Connected by Love is all about healing your past wounds, so the beauty in the present can shine bright. Travis embodies the protector, worshiper, and doting male character that every good romance novel needs. Soph lays her love out for everyone to see, taking on an added role so well. With dual POV’s it's easy to become immersed in their passionate love for one another.

Thoughts 💭
If you are looking for a read that is full of family drama, trauma and a collaboration of messed up choices, this is definitely a book for you!

As a reader you are following Daisy around, experiencing life through her point of view, and reliving memories through triggering events or family home videos. We quickly realize this family is full of hidden secrets. Slowly as the book progresses we learn so many unimaginable truths about the Darker family.

With the hint of urgency that members of the family are being picked off one by one, the book takes on a more fast paced flow. There were moments where I felt lost, and the writing style felt different than what I'm used to. I did look forward to learning the truth and the motive behind everything that went down.

Thoughts 💭
Going into this book I was expecting the spice to be quick and smutty right off the start. Knowing Mac's past, it was an honest conclusion. However, there were so many more elements to his and Bella’s relationship. There was a lot of tension throughout the book, and I felt it added so much more to their relationship.

The flow of their relationship is so similar but yet completely different than that of Noah and Emma’s. Sophia Belle has quite the talent for writing beautiful, sensual love stories in such a different way. I'm looking forward to reading my early copy of book 3!

The Connected Series is very much on the smuttier side. I do find that it can become too much for me, BUT it doesn't stop me from wanting to continue on and finish the story. I do HIGHLY recommend reading this series if you have the chance. If spice isn't really your thing, skip those spots, the love story itself is so worth it.
