When No One Is Watching by Alyssa Cole

I enjoyed this book. It took awhile to get to the point. Normally this would’ve annoyed me, but I actually enjoyed this backstory. The stories of gentrification and the history of marginalized people definitely kept my interest until the true plot was revealed.

But I still wanna know, where the hell is Mommy!!

This book broke my heart. Mostly because a lot of these experiences (not the Polygamy) are so familiar to my childhood. An emotional read for me but a great book.
