Love juliette's character now. She's done with all the codling. Just wish the ending has more edge to it. And idk but im not really comfortable with the whole situation of her being in like in an intimate place/situation with warner.
Yall i dont think ill ever like warner despite everything people said about him later in the series. I mean i always pick the "villians" but i dont think anything can redeem the fact that he doesn't respect juliette's boundaries or having a sense of asking for others consent before touching them.
I want to love the book more, but this one gives less impact to me.
1. Some important characters weren't mention for so long. Long chapters, as usual. However since the series introduced us to multiple of characters with their respective tasks, they tend to ignore those characters' stories for so long and when they bring that up again it felt like out of a sudden. And like the ending, em -the coven's whereabout weren't known until the next book
2. Minorspoiler + complaint Is it just me or does anyone has the same question, why does no one ever question the Japeth about his whereabouts when Rhian was Tedros' Knight any further? Are the rulers in every kingdom is that daft? (Idc if he's not important to them but that's bothering me) And a lot of them were suspicious of Lady Gremlaine, if she was the twins' mother but why Teddy never questions about that before they discovered the truth, like idk, that can add to the pile of the questions for the characters to solve. (Why would he kills his own mother? Is she was really their mother?)
3. My main complaint When they reach dead ends, there will always be the characters from a non hostile place will save them, too perfect timing but- I'm sorry, that's quite too often throughout the series but i want to put the blame to this book only shsh. - also, rhian supposedly be the cunning one but once he was being dumb at sudden and there's the twist.
4. Sophie's getting smarter though. Love her. Although some of her previous actions are not acceptable
Only 1&2 are relevant, the third point is just the thing i take personally.
Flaws of characters a main focus? It's complicated

1. It's almost 5 starrs! It's just I'm a bit disappointed that Hester and Anadil kinda can't see they did a bit wrong during the loyalty test but that kinda redeemed Dot's quality for being vigilant and the duo it's not perfect but come on aren't *they* look familiar?
My unanswered question: Who's Kei and the snake in mask? And what do they have to do with Aric?
I can give a similar book that kinda have the same ending, tw: spoiler? Bestie if you ever red queeennn you'll understand
i gave up. This is me writing the review for the third time for more than 1 hour, at 4a.m. Just no. I loathe the book. Even more after that happened.
Long story short, 1.No plot, 2.underdeveloped characters, 3.Confused mc=Confused readers. He has nothing to fight for, his point of journey is ridiculous. He only went away bcs of a book telling A STORY abt him. But bro other than that he didnt discover anything much fun about him except a prophercy thatll he save the world. If i wasn't mistaken? I forgot abt that sorry. But Heh. They didnt even provide any good part of his story before hand. Sounds out of sudden. 4.No fucking good romance whatttt. They dont even get to know e/o. Deeply or intimately. ( I cant even remember abou what happened since i read the book a month ago) but i can assure u nothing notable about their relationship. 5. No fucking strong antagonist bruh. The person was only mentioned like three times and wasn't even a threat. I don't even know her point of existing. She almost like didnt take any action.
6. I didnt think abt the book after a month
- no lovable characters, no plot, no conflict, dull characters. Just plain. So plain and frustrating. They have some potential to have more personality and role but ugh. Boring thru and thru.
After my third attempt of writing, I can't bring myself to love anyting about the book anymore. I might agree with u, but shut up im angy >:((
Might burn the book along side with addie larue. Unapologetically.
Someone please take the book to hell with them.
I almost dnf at the last 40%. It took me almost a month to finsih. It was a chore.
