Holy heck this book compared to the last two is absolutely amazing.
The way that everyone came into their own, the ending…. THE ENDING?? I couldn’t be more in love.
This book is the pay off for having us read all the dark and depraved things that have happened, and trust me when I say that because of proper set up you are feeling the characters emotions right along side them.
This was an absolutely fantastic read. I devoured it. I wanted to give it 4 stars just because I’m a hard ass, but when trying to think of criticism I just couldn’t find anything which forced me to put it to 5 starts. I was vibing with it, I was enthralled and happy to read it… can’t ask for more!

This book was so different compared to the first, and I absolutely loved it. I honestly don’t have any words to describe my feelings after finishing, just that I can not wait to continue reading!

I find this book so interesting because I had no idea what the point was, but I was captivated the entire time. The vulnerability Auren shows is incredibly captivating, as I absolutely love seeing weak characters that (I assume) eventually come into their own.
There isn’t much more to say since nothing quite happened in this book, other than setting up everyone’s backstory, but it was done in a way that had me hanging on to every word.

I think my review might be a bit tarnished because I’m having a hard time with book 2 right now, but overall I really enjoyed this story.
While I was able to quickly clock that the kingdom of summer was going to hold much more importance and were the token ‘good guys’, I really enjoyed her relationship with Rowan, the mystery, the betrayal of everyone… it was great.
I am such a fan for unreliable narrators, though that might not be the right term here, that having being fall apart because we weren’t privy to all info was an amazing twist and led to an incredibly enjoyable read

I feel as if this series is a bit overhyped… don’t get me wrong, it’s enjoyable, but it is in no way a masterpiece of fantasy that some are holding it to.
I have no major issues with the story, and I feel like it’s only drawback is that this book reads as if it is only trying to set up for the last two. We didn’t get many big answers, nothing was solved, and we were left with more questions. I don’t want to ding it for this purpose though because I think it will make more sense once the series is completed, but as of now it isn’t life changing.
It was an enjoyable read, and I absolutely loved the development of Ridoc and Imogen. There were many amazing moments, I just don’t think I’ll be able to fully appreciate the meat of this book until the series is complete and I can look back.

I feel like this book started so strong and then fell off a bit halfway through. While focused on Rory’s story and the politics of the world, I felt like I was fully immersed, however transitioning from the world of humans to monsters left some to be desired.
I feel like there wasn’t enough back story to the other groups, and there were absolutely no stakes. It was very obvious that Quill was going to win, and not in a HEA way.
Overall it was enjoyable enough to finish, but not something that I would recommend if your looking for a quick fantasy to sweep you off your feet.

This series is breaking me in the best way. I have always wanted a series that is real and raw, and this gives me everything that I have ever dreamed.
Having a FMC that is broken and questioning everything, one that is switching sides until she finds what fits, has her own agenda, and hits rock bottom to be brought back by feelings she sent want to face?
*chefs kiss*
I cannot wait until book 4 comes out. I’m a digital reader, but this series makes me want to own it in person. I’m obsessed

No clue where to begin. I wasn’t having a good time, but I am going to be so honest it’s because the book doesn’t want you to have a good time. It is breaking you along with the characters to create a narrative that is just so damn good and painful you need to keep coming back for more.
I finished this is one (very long) sitting and I have no regrets other than I need to sleep before starting the next one. It has been a rollercoaster and I am so ready to keep going because I have absolutely no clue what will happen next.
