This is a very fun bingeable read. Very reminiscent of In My Dreams I Hold A Knife but make the MC snarky af 😌 I loved it so damn much

I truly had no idea who the hell did it until it all came together. The ending gets a little loosey goosey but imma let it slide bc I was having a damn good time.

Overall: grab if you want a light “thriller”

Curvy FMC and he fucking loves it😌

I knew I was going to love Daddy P when it was time for his book but oooooh baby he did not disappoint. He is so beyond tortured and emotionally stunted that I wanted to punt him across the room and then wrap him in a hug and tell him it would all be okay!!!! He is truly the best dad. I literally melted anytime Ava would say “we are doing our best” 🥹 put a fucking knife in my heart already. And then that translated to the way he loved Chloe. I can’t say spoilies but I was full on ugly crying at one point. The man can’t articulate for shit but he listens and SHOWS IT. And then this man has a filthy mouth? RIP to us all.

Now for Chloe. Poor Chloe. Ugh my heart broke for her repeatedly. Growing up in a house of man haters has no idea what she is missing but then to be dropped into Will Perry’s lap? Literally 😋 go get ya some girl! The way she loved Ava and treated her the way she NEEDED to be treated was my favorite part of the book. She was not there for any other reason but for that kid. Falling in love with Will was an added bonus 🤭

They each brought the other out of their shell in different ways and it was so perfect. Their love is slow and tender but filthy and hot when it comes time for the lessons. It’s complete whiplash in the best way.

Overall: easily a fave of Kandi’s that I’ve read

"Wes once said to me that I was the moon, and I'd scoffed at him. But he was right. I was the moon, and the moon couldn't glow without the sun. And my sun was in Meadowlark, Wyoming."

I loved Ada and Wes so damn much.
Wes has depression and Ada doesn't feel worthy of love. The topics are handled with so much care and done so well imo. Even with the heavy under tones the banter kept it light and fun. I was cackling and crying and having a damn good time

Slow burn!!!!

Daddy Dallas is oh so sweet with a dirty mouth 😛And Maven is fierce and tender
They were the perfect combo😌
I instantly vibed with them. The ultimate slow burn I was feral by the time they finally kissed
Chelsea don't ever play with my like that again!!!!😤
But also I was so heavily invested I didn't feel like I needed to rush be the journey was perfect
Chelsea has truly hit her stride as an author and I cannot wait for Mav and Reid's books!!!
