Loved it, for its originality and imagination.
The exploration of a new world, the horrors of everything that could go wrong, the mysteries and the end especially, was all handled well.
It's not a book of profound prose, but it certainly keeps you on the edge as to what will happen next. And for it to keep doing this since it's publication in 1973 is a job well done.

With 54% 5 stars and an excellent Instagram review, I don't think I have been so exciting to read a book in a long while as I was for this. And till all the answers start unravelling, I was even enjoying the book.
But you can't cherish a suspense novel's beginning and middle parts when the end reveal disappoints you big time. It all goes in vain, to some extent.

Good as a one time read for me. Can't regret 10 hours I took to finish it now.

Sometimes it's really hard to fathom why I like him in the first place.

Done with Murakami, at least for a while!!
