Giving three stars to justify the time I spent on this book. Intriguing theme but could have been half the length. A lot of open ends and unnecessary details.

Modern Science Fiction

Author is well versed in modern science and hence the stories are sci-fi of the 21st century. Some stories are verbose with little dialogue between characters, nevertheless an exciting read for sci-fi lovers.

Page Turner Memoir of a Top Cop

In this memoir, Maria narrates briefly about his childhood, his influences that made him choose the career in policing, how he evolved from a rookie fresh out of academy to a top cop who handled high profile cases like 26/11 terrorist attack in Mumbai.
It's an excellent read for police aspirants or anyone who is interested in a peek into the psyche of a detective. Highly recommended.

Nudge you to see your life with a new lens

This novel is an easy read. It's trying to be a sci-fi but the premise is closer to magical realism. It becomes a little preachy occasionally but I think it is inevitable considering the message it intent to give.

Read immediately after finishing dune

"Read immediately after dune as a continuation" - Thank goodness that I listened to this advice.
This is a long epilogue & conclusion to Paul's story. It can feel anticlimactic if the events of dune are not fresh in your memory.
But the book is very satisfying for a dune fan as it gives an unusual "happily ever after" who wonders what happened after the events of dune.
