Listened to this audiobook and loved it. Having a character who is blind in such a situation is so intresting. The way her world was described was incredible. Not to mention, the relationship between her and her dad was spot on.

I gave this book 4 stars at first but now im giving it 5. Sure, the characters were sometimes bland and yes it wasn't that scary. But the take on the ghost girl being a vigilante almost, was amazing to me. I don't remember much things I read due to bad memory but the fact I read this years ago and remembered almost all of it, is crazy to me. It has a special place in my heart because of that. I remember reading it in 2 or 3 days which is crazy for a slow reader like me!

Update: my rating system has changed just so I dont give a lot of books 4 and 5 stars. 3 is a good rating and means I enjoyed it!

I loved this book as a preteen and picked it back up again recently. It was very well written for a middle grade, but it did have me speed reading through the ending. I am giving it three stars (which isn't a bad rating for me by any means) though since it is meant for a younger audience that could be why I found it boring and predictable at the end. I think a middle schooler would really enjoy this.

Okay,to start, this is my first light novel and I have nothing to base it off of. I would give this a two based on enjoyment but I bumped it to three since I think light novels just aren't always my jam. I do plan on reading more when I'm in a certain mindset.

That being said, this was a fun read once you get passed that it's not supposed to be a literary genius of work(hence the term "light novel"). It had me genuinely interested in the well-being of the characters at moments, which can be hard for me while I read.

Also, I definitely think things get lost in translation so the original version is probably written much better. It's just hard for me to get passed that fact when I'm reading it. Better be off to learn Japanese so I can read it in all it's glory!

P.S. I defintley suggest this to anyone who wants to get started in reading light novels. :)

If you like manga and haven't read this than read it! But, seriously this manga is so wholesome.
