dark academia and pretentious mfs. i loved them though. the powers are so unique, and i would have never thought about physics as magic. huge plot twist that had me gagged. read this book. you won't regret it.

Maybe I am just confused or too dense to understand this book. I will have to think some more and then update this review.

i read this for class, and it legitimately had me rethinking every single book i have given five stars because i think this is now the only one.

yuknavitch's memoir was unpredictable, traumatic, and reflective, all while being heartbreakingly poetic.

i have no words. she made us feel her emotions. the graphic descriptions of her experiences, and the ways in which she self sabotaged as a result of her childhood trauma was surreal.

read this book, but please PLEASE be careful. it is very heavy and personally, i found it a little triggering.

i enjoyed this book a lot more than i thought, especially considering that this was a required read for one of my classes. i cannot believe that this is a memoir. the struggle of migrants escaping afghanistan only to be returned back to horrible camps. there were a few quotes i enjoyed too. overall, i would recommend this book.
