this is barely even omegaverse. some of yall would never survive the trenches of mlm fanfiction.

besides having to read about knotting in a real life published book, this was a fun and cute read. did the outside plot and world building make much sense? no. but misery and lowe slayed and i ate this book up!

Such a well written and informative book. Makes you think about your own personal relationships, and what you want for the people around you and yourself when it comes to be the end of your life. I think everyone could benefit from reading this.

“just this once, turn to me, even in jest, or as an afterthought, which would have meant everything to me when we were together, and, as you did back then, look me in the face, hold my gaze, and call me by your name.”

No one will ever get this book like I do.

I know this book has it’s faults, being criticized for the large age gap and poor representation of LGBTQ+ relationships. And yet I love it in spite of its faults. The reality is, is this book never claimed to be a healthy depiction of a queer relationship. I feel that the faults of Elio and Oliver’s relationship are obvious, and that we are reading from the point of view of an immature 17 year old is very clear.

I love this book like it is a piece of my soul. The imagery and prose are beautiful. I have reread this book time after time and I am sucked into it each and every time. Every reread, I feel like I catch a small detail I’ve missed before and I only appreciate it more. I will never tire of this book, I will cherish it until the day I die.

I always go into books that have such a hype around them like this expecting mediocrity, and this book is anything but mediocre. I started it and I couldn’t stop, the writing is so incredibly well done, and the relationship between Patroclus and Achilles was so heartbreaking and beautiful.

This book is like Percy Jackson if it was written for adults. It captures that same charm, and the same love of greek mythology. It has been to long since I’ve read a book I’ve loved. Every minute of it was enjoyable.

this book does such a good job of illustrating a tumultuous relationship with your mom. a relationship that’s hard as children, but leaving you connected and bound to each other in adulthood. there is no relationship like the one a girl shares with her mom.
