Never in my life have I been so conflicted about a book. I loved it and hated it all at once. My main issues with it were that it was almost to spicy. It felt like the spice kinda took from the plot. Literally every other page in the first third of the book had to mention her get bent over and fucked. The pineapple?!? Gross. That’s literally absurd in the logic. How is someone who “so smart” be that dumb wtf. I have issues with books that let you seeing bad shit is going to happen I tend to dnf quick and I almost did ALOT but I honestly found the book to be weirdly addictive. Like while the spice was overwhelming and too much it was reallly good. The plot itself is great too if you are able to absorb the pieces between the every other chapter of spice. I loved Knox at first then his whole backstory. I would describe this book as hot garbage. But I will read book 2 lol

So many people compared this book to acotar and tog. But this book was nothing like them imo. This book if anything was closer to the cruel prince.

The book follows a girl names fortuna who is trying to find her brother that went missing two yrs ago. But she meets a man who can help but at a pretty high cost.

The book was interesting and kept my attention. I did have issues with reading it at times because I found the describey bits to a tad boring. I didn’t love fortuna towards the end of the book either. It did feel realistic tho so not that mad. But I feel like the main reasons I just didn’t love it is that if felt to similar to the cruel prince series to me.

I struggled to finish this book ngl. It’s a good book for the most part. I liked it. But there just wasn’t anything that made it stick out to me. There were a couple parts of the books that didn’t make sense to me. Like right I. The beginning of the book the sorcerer guy kidnapped her because he didn’t have the time but then took his time asking her if she wanted food and drinks? It just didn’t make sense to me. But I did continue the book because I heard it gets great

This book was about the same for me as the first one. It was ok but just not great. There just wasn’t any septic part I can say I loved.

Thank you to netgalley and Kodansha for the e arc!

Shu is a misunderstood bad boy who lets people think he’s bad when he’s not. A classmate that plays the piano spends time to convince him to listen to her play then dies in a tragic car accident that also leaves his left hand paralyzed.

I liked at the beginning and how it build up to the sad really nicely. I like the overall story of the manga but I did have some issues with it. I’m not going to go into specifics because I don’t want to spoil anything. But the manga has a plot twist that I didn’t see coming and it just threw me off. It just kinda disconnected of sorts. And I didn’t love it. I did push past it and read on but I always came back to it. I did enjoy this manga otherwise. I don’t think I’d read on to vol 2 though.

Thank you to netgalley and Random house for letting me read and review this book!

I’ll be completely honest. I think the book itself is great. I think it’s written really well. The plot is also really interesting. if you like history, you’d love this book. But I didn’t have a really hard time trying to get into the book. I had a hard time understanding the river references. I overall I just didn’t love the book.

Sumire is starting her second yr of high school when she meets ninomiya, who has a lot of nasty rumors going about him. Sumire finds this 20 yr old bad boy ninomiya to be her seat neighbor.

So I did find it to be some what lack luster. It was cute and I liked it by the end it just took a bit to get there. I just wanted alittle more depth from the plot. I never really attached with sumire who is a gutsy girl and kinda wants to find love. I did find ninomiya to be interesting and I like the mysteries about him. They leave a couple details in the manga kinda mysterious and I am excited to see where they go in vol 2.

Overall it was cute and I liked it. But it wasn’t super amazing. My only critique is that it was missing depth but I have a feeling it’ll show more in other volumes.

“How do you think love starts..?
Falling.
That’s kind of how it feels. At least to me.”

Honatsu just started her second yr of high school and there are a lot of rumors going around that she’s dating her childhood friend toma. She is still trying to figure out her feelings when a new transfer student shows up, shun Tachibana. During her time is trying to figure out her feelings, there is stuff going on behind the scenes about honastu and her past.

Where do I begin!?! I freaking loved it. I’m obsessed! There is honestly so much I love about it. This is probably one of the best shoos I’ve ever read. It was a bit of a slower start but MAN OH MAN! I loved the story and the art. The slow build of honastu falling for Tachibana was done so well. Ever single encounter with was made me want to scream I love them so much. AND THAT PLOT TWIST?!? I didn’t see that coming. Whewwww, it really added to story and made things messier in the best way. Overall 5/5 if you like shoujo this is a MUST READ! I will be buying a physical copy.
