I received an advanced reader copy of this book, and this is my honest review. Please, watch out for possible spoilers, including but not limited to, TW/CN/Etc.

Possible TW, Tropes, and Genres
Mature, Spicy, Romance, Alien Romance, Size Difference, Violence, He Falls First, Fated Mates, Touch her and Die, Found Family, Past Trauma, Horn Usage, Tail Play, Fluids that Stretch your V, Heat, Knotting, Curvy FMC, and possibly more.

Krista did it again with Taken by the Alien Rogue. I so enjoyed the FMC and the MMC. If you enjoy size differences, using horns to kinda control your partner, and expanding fluids… Then this is for you.

Trust me when I say to not miss out on this series. It is really good, and each book just gets better and better.

Possible TW, Tropes, and Genres
Tame, Non-Spicy, Romance, Futuristic Romance, Fantasy Romance, Greek Mythology, Comedy Romance, Novellas, HEA, MMC vilifies self over past creature attack, Scars from creature attack, Wheelchair user, Amputee, Anxiety Issues, Moments where it felt a bit overly self loathing and into the realm of ableism, and possibly more.

This was a quick and interesting read. I enjoyed the whole card game ala Yu-Gi-Ohish… I would love to know more about the card game, and how that all works, how it started, the island, etc.

I had a bit of a hard time with just how, well overly self loathing the MMC, Damon, was at times about a previous creature attack that left him scared, and his brother in a wheelchair. Leo, the brother, did not seem to have the same self loathing, and issues with where their life took them.. So, it was hard to see a somewhat able bodied person, at times kinda obsess over getting their brother a special leg. At times it felt kinda ableist.

I did enjoy the FMC, Chantara, and would love to see more about her background, and how she got to the island.

Overall, the story was ok, I just had some issues with the possible ableism. As someone who uses mobility devices, I am just not sure, this was the best way to show how Damon feels. I guess, is what I am trying to say.

The love story that happens between Damon and Chantara is cute, and adorable, even though there is no spicy.

This is an ARC review and may have spoilers please be careful reading.

Sorrel and Elnoreth were such wonderful, charming characters that I fell for them the moment they were on the page.

It was interesting reading a Gargoyle Romance story, with no spice. There is love, not insta, but it is there, the kindles burning brighter each day.

I would enjoy seeing this story and world expanded on.

It was overall a quick read, a heartfelt and even quite cozy at times Romance.

The way that Elnoreth talks about his loss and grief, over the passing of his Mate, is hard and understandable so. No one wants to see the love of their life pass, especially when they can no nothing to save them.

Beggan, I think, handles this topic well.

If you enjoy fantasy, romance, no spice, then this one I think will be up your alley.

– HEADS UP –
If death during a delivery, even 99% off page is a hard no for you, I would suggest reading this with caution. Or possibly not at all. It is easy to skip this part, you do see it coming, so please mind your mental health there. Sorrel, is a midwife, and is called to her sister's side, during her delivery. Sadly, due to things outside of Sorrel's control, she does not make it in time to save her sister. But she does save the infant.

Then I suggest giving this a read.
I love Alien / Human romances, and the miscommunication issues that can come from it.

Add in, then that they are fated mates, she is a strong woman, all on her own, and I'm hooked.

Do you like Mafia Romance?
Enemies to lovers?
Arranged marriages?
Dirty talking?
Touch her and die?
Then this is one, you should check out.

For it being 307 pages in ebook format, it didn't feel that way. I was engrossed from the start, and I enjoyed the plot and characters from the start as well. I would happily read more by this author.

Dark romance is one of my favorites, then add in the mafia element, and spice and I'm hooked.

This is the second book in a Interconnected stand-alone series, so you can read them out of order like I did.

They might be my new favorite couple.

Possible TW, Tropes, and Genres
Mature, Spicy, Fantasy Romance, Shifter Romance, Holiday Romance, Black Romance, Fairy Tales, Strong Woman Romance, Werewolves Romance, Insta Love Romance, Novels, Greek and Roman Myths and Legends, Folklore, Sex, HEA, Regency, and possibly more.

This is the first book I have read by L. C. Son, and I have to say, that I will be reading more.

If you enjoy romance, love stories, happily ever afters, SPICE, some darkness in your romance, then I suggest giving this a read.

The Christmas Cotillion, brings everyone together each year and allows some peace between all the creatures and humans, but like most peace, it is fragile. This story shows how you can learn to overcome things and see things in a new light. Something that is so needed in the real world as well.

The spice between Winter and Lux is wonderful. Things can be spicy at times, and mushy at others. Which can be so nice to see in a romance story.

It is kinda Regency, but, I think that those who are not into Regency will still enjoy this as well.

Sam you fucking did it again.
The cliffhanger that you left us with, in book 1, was well worth the amazing conclusion to Nat’s story. Her finding her strength, her power, after being in an abusive marriage was grand… But, her finding it, while also finding her sexual power, chef’s kiss.

I cried so many times, laughed so many others, and the spice!! ::Insert perfection gif::

Koda, Thorne, Lars, and Ric, and the way that they not only love Nat, but allow her the space to find herself, was precious. That is not always allowed in love stories where the FMC is coming out of an abusive relationship. Often, the MMC(s), just kinda tell her how it is, and she is magically better. Nat has to work on that, and being in the here and now with herself, and her mates. This story would not of been as impactful or magical without that.

I do not know how you write such fully fleshed out characters, that feel like I could actually be around, cause, coming from an abusive marriage… I don’t do people really anymore. I haven’t fully hit that magical healthy healing yet, to be as vulnerable as Nat is with these guys.. Which, before anyone says anything, yes its a story, but its a story that will hit home with some of us.. Who have lived with someone like FF and his family… And even if, the story is only a happy for now, it reminds us, that we can hope for that happy for now moments as well.

We may not get a why choose with hunky bear shifters (did I ever tell you my FAV animals are bears), but we can still live via Nat. lol

I received an advanced reader copy of this book, and this is my honest review. Please, watch out for possible spoilers, including but not limited to, TW/CN/Etc.

Possible TW, Tropes, and Genres
Mature, Spicy, Dark Romance, Kidnapping (mentioned not on page), Thriller, Action Romance, Organized Crime, Mafia, Age Gap, Bareback, MF, Masturbation, Oral, Violence, Gore, Torture (mentioned not on page), Murder, Spanking, Under Age Alcholo Comsumption, Drug Usage (joint), Human Trafficking (spoken about), HEA,

I have yet to read a book by Dana that I did not fall in love with.

I loved the back and forth between Niko and Izabela. I loved how she knew what she wanted, and she went after it.

And I fucking loved it, when Niko thought they were found out at the gym by her dad. I laughed so hard, at the idea of this big brawler being afraid cause him and his bosses daughter (adult daughter) got it on.

But, what I really enjoyed, is how the book really was about Niko and Izabela, not the mafia, not really there family, etc. It was about them trying to figure out who and what they are, while things just go to shit around them. How Niko, got to see Izabela as a strong woman, who will inherit this whole operation, and how she is just as dark as he is. I loved that. I loved the human aspect of all of it.

The spicy was wonderful, the fight scenes were great, and the overall story and plot were wonderful. I highly suggest reading this one. Even if you have not read the three books that are about Izabela’s parents. You get enough info to understand everything.

Possible TW, Tropes, and Genres

Blake and Naomi are absolutely adorable from the moment they are on the page. And that little nephew of Blake’s, a cutie pie. Even Blake, with him grumpy assholeness is adorable.

Anyway, this was a quick read, has some good spicy moments, but it is not overly spicy.
So if you like plot with your spice, this has it.

I really enjoyed this one, and its hard to say how good it was without spoiling something. Just give it a read, I really do not think you will be disappointed.

As per a question, Naomi, said in the book…. Yes, I grew up in Texas, they taught us the 2 step in PE, Music Class, and even had us learn other country western dances… No, I can not do those dances anymore.
