This book really picked up and sucked me fully into the story about halfway through. Some big reveals, some of which I predicted, some of which I did not.

I enjoyed this book and plan to continue the series. It moved quickly, but not so fast that I cannot imagine there being enough story for future books. That said, I do not understand the obsession yet. It was good, but not THAT amazing. Also...another love triangle, really?

A cozy fall read. Nothing too intense.

The first half was so slow and tedious. I did not care about the characters and saw no hope to keep me interested. The second half I finally got invested and read much more quickly. The magic felt like an odd addition. It wasn't enough to change the world, just enough to throw things awkwardly off balance.

Did this as a ladies Bible study with my church. I felt like I didn't straight up disagree with much, but I also felt like Kelly did a LOT of stretching verses to make her points. She also chose some random disciplines to focus on. I think there are more important characteristics to develop than "celebration".

I know this book is super popular but it just wasn't for me. Too slow and too suspenseful. I'm not here for the main character pretending to be asleep while an unknown killer stares at them.

I'm confused by this book. I feel like I missed paragraphs or even full chapters of background information. Statements were made, with the assumption that I would understand them, but no explanation was ever given. And the end was the same. The mystery was 90% resolved I just needed the epilogue...that didn't exist.
