This book did not know what it wanted to be and so it ended up being a Temu mashup of Addie and Every Day.
And do not put this book on the LGBTQ list because it threw us sapphics a real bone 19 min from the end of an 11.25 hour book
A Song For You And I by K. O'Neill
5.0
If you’re a fan of cozy, heartfelt graphic novels, @strangelykatie has once again delivered a true gem with A Song for You & I! Set in a beautiful fantasy world, this story explores themes of friendship, self-discovery, and growth through the unlikely bond between a Ranger Novice and a misunderstood shepherd.
At its heart, this graphic novel is about failure, persistence, and finding meaning in life. We follow characters navigating their journey of self-worth and gender identity, with the added layers of gender fluidity and trans representation done in such an authentic and thoughtful way (no surprise to fans of K.). The characters’ growth and their emotional journeys are portrayed with such depth, despite the simple yet expressive art style. K. O’Neill truly knows how to capture powerful emotions through subtle drawings; words not necessary.
I never tire of K.’s stories!
