It’s giving Netflix original series written for what a 35 year old thinks Gen z is in to. Also the writing of the Black male love interest was so Terrible that’s it was disrespectful in a novel trying so hard to be “woke”. Stick to writing what you know about.

First book is better. This one was a lot of politics and exposition and not as satisfying an ending. Will be reading the third book when it comes out cause I still love the overall story
