Liked the movies better. This is an acid trip.

Cheesy, fun, but poorly written

Don't get me wrong. I came into this expecting a cheesy thrill ride, a B-movie in print, and that's what I got. But, beyond all the expected shortcomings that come with that, the writing was so sloppy, both in terms of simple proofing errors and continuity errors. I mean, at one point a guy's arm is torn clean off, but a few pages later, it's back and apparently good as new.

The man was weird. I like that.

Well written, suspenseful, and satisfying.

Loved this book. It's original, fun, smart, exciting, and satisfying. Worthy investment of a few hours. I'll read it again, I'm sure.

Suspenseful fun at it's best

I love a good cosmic horror story. Setting it inside a standard FBI procedural was a fun twist. I wish both agents survived, but you can't have everything.

Does not see the end coming

Well written, and a very cool, original plot. Scary as hell if you give it a chance to sink in. OMG.

Incredible Book

This is a tightly plotted mystery/thriller with a fantastic twist that's not really a twist at all. Once it happens, it's the most inevitable and perfect, only thing that could happen. As a bonus, the writing is wonderful, with snippets I've saved for my own writing inspiration.

One of the Greatest Novels of All Time

No, I'm not going to claim it's mechanically perfect or a literary masterpiece. But, it's definitely a well written thriller That accomplishes its purpose. And, for sheer entertainment value, it's nearly impossible to beat.
