The title should have been Jawbreaker for the amount of times my jaw unhinged 🤣 I don’t give out 5 stars too often, and at first I wasn’t confident this one would cross the line. But it was like a sneak ninja 🥷 attack, I’m not even sure where in the process of reading it snuck up on me and I went from enjoying the book to staying up until 3am bingeing as much as I could.

Super spicy, dark (check your TWs) and filled with all the things that go bump in the night 🖤

Did I finish this and immediately look at my man wondering why he’s not a 6ft female in ballet boots? Yes, yes I did.

Ivy literally saw a market gap for dark, CNC, super spicy kinky sapphic and said hold my drink. GIRL! MISS MA’AM! I am deceased. The level of heat in this book could keep a whole country warm in subzero conditions.

Secret societies are a thing I didn’t think needed to be on my preferred trope list but here we are 🤣 I found Elliott through her Crimson Ridge series (contemporary, forbidden, age gap) so I didn’t know what to expect from her dark romance offerings. This is WAYYYYY different to CR. Even her writing style is almost unrecognisable. Cannot wait for the second book to drop 🖤

Finally a slump breaker 🤩
This was such a mental head fuck, the twists and turns. This is how you do physiological horror. Adding the rest of Harleigh’s books to my TBR 🖤

If praise and age gap is your flavour, this one has it by the truckload. My only dislike was the miscommunication trope and the >constant< reminder how ‘big’ his toolkit 😉 was, we got it the first 10 times. Super easy read though, small town will always be my comfort genre 🖤

Did not finish book. Stopped at 33%.
What in the wattpad is this? Underdeveloped characters. Whiney, juvenile FMC. Same plot repeated every few chapters. MMCs a raging alcoholic who cant form a coherent thought. Nope. Just fucking nope.

This was taboo as all hell and I wanted to love this more. I just felt like it could have been more shorter. Idk I just struggled to emotionally connect with the characters. Was it good? Yes. Was it great? No.

You can’t really go wrong with a good demon corn read, and Ms Powers delivers ✌️ this was a fun little read. Was it a literary masterpiece? Nah, but demon smut rarely is so I’m not at all mad. For a first time author this was surprisingly well executed, I couldn’t spot any plot holes, the whole story made sense and it didn’t really fall over and become boring anywhere. I would have loved to see a little more emotional development between all the characters, so those heavy hitting scenes (Chapter 19 and 37-38 namely) hit with the force of a book girlie at an exclusive limited copy signing (linebacker anyone?) but they didn’t miss as they stand now. Definitely an author to keep your eye on 🖤

And the award for most irritating FMC goes to: Blakely.
I’m not even entirely sure if I liked Ryat’s POV or if it just seemed significantly better than hearing Blakely whine like a spoiled, naive, demanding brat. Like how many times are you gonna get surprised he drugged you babe? Why you gotta be nosey and demand to know everything when he’s promised you literally nothing but his schlong.

I’m told this is the worst one in the series, good god I hope so 😂
