This book was cute and had good bones as well as a great ending, but it took a while to get going and then drug on and off throughout. I think it was supposed to be winding fable of sorts, but it just fell flat for me too often.
There were some great quotes and nice twists it just wasn't enough to knock my socks off of you will.

A silly little story about alien robots who appear on sidewalks all over the country. Our protagonist is a 23 year old graphic designer name April May(insert eye roll). April is an obnoxious & impulsive narcissist who uses the arrival of these alien robots she names Carl (or The Carls) as her ticket to her 15 minutes of fame on social media. The message, if you look for it buried underneath the obnoxious narration and child like theatrics (grape jelly🤦♀️) is that when you pander to an audience of the entire world you are choosing to loose your humanity and inevitably will hurt those who love you as well as yourself The book was too long and too silly for me to enjoy it but I can appreciate the message it delivered. Zero interest in reading book 2!

It's not my favorite Ali Hazelwood book, but I did enjoy it overall. The 1st half of the book felt very disjointed. The 2nd half was much better, and I really loved the whole MMC absolutely whipped trope🤣 As someone who works with scientists, the FMC was very on brand!

This was the closure I needed from Firefly Lane. I really loved that we learned Cloud's story. My favorite part was the friendship development between Margie and Cloud. What a strong and silent force Margie was in everyones lives❤️

This book was nothing like I expected, and Im sad that it sat so long on bookshelf. It was really smart, intellectual writing, but not braggy and insufferable like Yellowface was. The message was beautiful. Excellent book. Not a full 5 because I wasn't sure about for the 1st 100 pages.

Simply loved! First of all, this cover and edges are stunning, and they are the initial reason I picked up the book. Then I learned this is Emily Rath's debut that is being republished--immediate yes. This book is really well written and combined two of my favorite things: Regency world meets spicy why choose❤️ already pre ordered book 2!

This book is really hard for me to review because I want to do it justice. Took me 11 days to complete, and here is why:
1. I was taking my time to ensure I was fully absorbing the unique world and magic system that Gillig was creating for us as readers.
2. I didn't want it to end!!
This book is the perfect example of Gothic Fantasy done--oh so well!

A debut romance novel that I gave 5 stars? Yes!!! The setting is picturesque but relatable. The structure and flow of the story is non linear but executed well. The character arcs for both FMC & MMC are beautifully written. Carley Fortune is quickly becoming a favorite summer romance author for me!

The last book in this series, and I truly loved it. Reading Daisy and Jett's love story was something I have been wanting for the entire seriea but then Siena Trap gave us their extended lifetime with all the snapshots of the couples we have already met and loved plus all the highlights of their own timeless love story?! Literally perfection! I also loved how the series was structured with having this story be the last entry in the series....brilliant. Beware, you will need tissues and a big hug at the end!

How does one review, with words, absolute perfection? I inhaled this book in under 48 hrs. By page 16, I knew this was going to be a top 5 book of the year for me. This book is about space and NASA...2 things I couldn't care less about, and yet here I am RAVING about it! That alone is telling in my opinion. The last 40 pages had me in a state of inconsolable tears while driving in a car full of people! I closed the book and just stared off to process. It's so amazing.
