At this point I have to finish it but dang Im done.

Ok hot take: I liked it, like I really liked it! Now, did it start off rushed and kind of young and maybe lazy? Yes....or maybe it was supposed to read that way because our FMC is a self declared, impatient young girl?! Who knows, and honestly, I don't care. It was fun, fast, and engaging, and I was hooked immediately.  The 2nd half of the book REALLY ramped up, and the end had me gasping, laughing, crying, and re-reading parts because there just ain't no way!!! Anywho, 4.5 stars, and I will be reading book 2!

Ok least favorite in the series so far. The tone very much changed in this book. I understand that it was necessary as tk provide us the readers with more background and clarity on the past events of Juliette and Aaron's lives.  I was just a little bored is all.

This thriller started off really strong for me. I was completely invested and blissfully confused. I loved the themes of freedom vs captivity throughout the different characters story lines. Then my very worst thing happened....i figured it out at like 70% and I was right😩. I truly hate when that happens! I want to be SHOCKED and I wasn't.  Also the story was so evenly paced and then poof rushed ending in a nice neat little bow...to me thats the worst way to end a thriller.

These little less than 100 page novellas literally provide more clarification of the story and world building than the main books do. I love Kenji now (I thought he was obnoxious before) and I really am like Nezeera too!

Omg this book❤️❤️❤️ What an easy but powerful story. It feels like a warm hug. I loved every single word! Favorite book of 2025 so far!!! I loved the grandmother and granddaughter dynamic as well as all the other messy but also normal family relationships. I giggled and laughed out loud at the banter between Alice and Charlie. I felt all the feels. I will plan to re-read this book at the begining of every summer going forward!

This series just keeps getting better and better. I found myself gasping and audibly reacting to this book as I listened, which is always a good sign! I really love the character development of Juliette, specifically the excerpts from book 1 and her journal entries; very clever plotting. I have no theories on how this will continue to develop. Im just enjoying the ride!

Least favorite for a few reasons:
1. Pregnancy trope 😬
2. Became predictable 🙄

Anyway, Im glad the series ended. I'll read the short stories at some point,  but it was time for it to end. Definitely best dark romance series I've read in a long time

This book just made me hate Adam more than I already did. Thats it. Thats the review.
