I was definitely not expecting the stance that Crichton took on global warming.

There was so much potential there but the plot was poorly executed, the timelines and locations all over the place and the story just generally boring. This would probably be much better as a movie.

My first Agatha Christie novel and now I’m a new fan who can’t wait to read more! This has got to be one of the best revelations to a mystery I’ve read in a long while. There was a point in time where I decided the plot was getting too ridiculous and I was going to give this three stars, but the “ridiculouness” was concluded so perfectly that it was obvious that Christie meant for us to feel in such a way. The ending chapter was nothing but a page turner up until the very last paragraph. I’m incredibly more excited to see the movie! Poirot is an incredibly cool and calm detective who is compassionate yet firm and stern in his deductions and accusations. I’d love to read the rest in his series.
