This book has everything I could have wanted in a Parisian-set storyline, and so much more. Besides mystery and love, it is full of subtle foreshadowing that doesn't prepare the reader for a couple of unexpected twists and turns, only in hindsight. Everything connects so well, perfectly blending a factual French historical mystery with fiction. I couldn't put it down! The author also does an excellent job in creating mouth-watering imagery with her descriptions of all the home-cooked French meals shared by Claire and Armand.
