I bought this book based off booktok recommendation. & it was very disappointing. The spice was giving at first but then I was over it & there was literally no story. I didn’t feel anything towards the characters. I didn’t even feel a bit of sadness for the widow or his 2 children despite how often he mentions his dead wife. In the parts that it could’ve gone more in depth with getting to know the characters, they were apparently too horny to have a conversation. LOL towards the end I feel like I got to know Maddy a bit in the sense where her head was and what she was ready for or wanted. She explains she isn’t looking to step in as a mom. But i guess that doesn’t matter bc his cock is so good. lol some parts I felt were written to make the book look longer, but it was just repetitive. The amount of times I read “don’t lose the fucking plot” had me rolling my eyes. After 50% of the book I didn’t wanna go on, but I don’t like leaving books unread once I’ve started. But if I could go back I wouldnt have bought it to begin with.

I wanted more emotions with the book, like the first book had. During the middle I found it hard to keep reading, I get that everyone wanted a book about Eden & Josh’s relationship, and the book gave that.. Lol I wish I had more of Eden w/ the trial, with the other girls in the trial, and with her family/brother.
