While I've read quite a few books about race in America, I found this one to still be worthwhile because it is from a white perspective and really calls out progressive people for bias that they may not realize they have.

I thought this was going to be a lighthearted romcom that reminded me of The Good Place.  Surprise - I hated it.  Has this author ever met people before?  I have never met anyone that acts like any of these people.  I really did not like this at all.

I like the premise of this book but I can't seem to make it more than a couple pages at a time before getting bored.

I loved this book.  There was so much in it that I felt related to my current life and it brought up a lot of interesting questions around racism, sexism, politics, immigration, etc.  "Living long is not the same as living well."

This is the kind of story that starts out calm but the tragedy and emotion sneaks up on you. Before you know it you are complete immersed.

Interesting.  Of course some of the solution type information at the end is already out of date.  At least for anything relating to the United States.
