This was my first Meryl Wilsner book, and I am a fan! I saw them at a book fest in February and was blown away by their smarts and hilariousness, so knew I needed to read something they'd written. Imagine my glee when I saw this book available for review. πŸ€— This was such a swoony story about how love shows up, even when it's hard. It also proves that some of the most satisfying relationships come from starting out with friendship. And the sexy-times were πŸ”₯πŸ”₯!😏

Janovsky has a way of creating characters that makes them feel like they could be my friends and relatives. They have the same insecurities that most of us do, they feel deeply and communicate badly, and they meet people who make them better versions of themselves. That was clear with Ethan and Taylor - flawed, but trying their hardest, and together, they shine. I adored this story and this world!😍

If you like Roe Horvat books, then you're going to consume Quickies the way you do the rest of his work These small glimpses into the Omegaverse world he has created are just enough to whet (hehe) the appetite for more. The stories were the perfect length. And width. And girth.😏🀣

I'm not sure how Hardy does it: she writes stories that make me laugh, weep, and sigh wistfully in equal measure. πŸ₯Ή While she specializes in tales about more mature MCs, this particular book was clearly a labor of (and an ode TO) love for a couple of younger characters (mid- to late-20s) who had grown throughout the Bluebird Basin saga, Kev and Davis. I don't give out a lot of ♾️ star ratings, but this is definitely one of mine for 2025. πŸ’–

I keep thinking I don't enjoy dark romance, but every time I read one that is well written, I realize that I DO like dark romance. I just need to accept it. πŸ€·πŸΌβ€β™€οΈ This was an engrossing story. I read the first one and was intrigued enough to want to stay in the world to see what was going to happen. I love the way the relationships between the 4 of the MCs have developed over the course of 2 books. Flynn has artfully fleshed them out in a way where their strengths and weaknesses balance one another out. I am eagerly awaiting the conclusion to the trilogy in the next book!πŸ’–

I had no idea this was a spin-off from an existing series, and I will be going back to read it prior to book 2 being released. This was such an engrossing world and take on the mythos around trolls and elves! It took me a minute to understand how the rules worked and which was what, but I was completely immersed in the drama between Arlet and Vann. This is a super imaginative story, and I'm excited to read what happens next. πŸ’–
