MyKyng

I voluntarily read and reviewed an advance copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

Destiny Harris is a newly divorced, single mother, and bakery owner. With plans of expansion and needing an escape from her very delusional ex husband Destiny takes residence in Crescent Falls for a fresh start. When Destiny’s daughter, Solei, falls ill she is forced to seek out her daughter’s father.
MyKyng Masters is CEO of the Port Authority, the head of a crime family. He is engaged to Bianca by why of a business deal between the pair’s parents. When he gets a life changing call MyKyng, although a little hesitant at first, fell right in step with the father role.

There was an instant attraction between Destiny and MyKyng that couldn’t be denied even with MyKyng being in a “situationship” with Bianca. MyKyng exudes all the BDE you could want and need and was quick to check whoever when it came to respecting him and/or his family. I loved MyKyng’s family. They embraced Destiny and Solei with open arms. Prynceton and Nan kept me laughing from MyKyng’s family. Desiree and Kehlani (from Only If It’s You) were like the good angels/ bad angels on Destiny’s side. Both families were close knit with Solei being the glue that held them together. I really loved this story.

I voluntarily read and reviewed an advance copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

In this second installment of the convergence saga, we start off with action. Ridley, Laina and Rebecca are on the road when they encounter a wolf who can’t change back into its human form. It is believed that those who hunt "monsters” are now becoming monsters themselves. There is a secret society that is trying to keep the balance of things.

Overall I rate this 3.5 out of 5, lower than no gods no monsters because at times it was very disjointed. I found myself lost in the many things going on in this one. I feel like it had a lot of promise but from 25% to about 56% I was ready for the story to develop more. Can’t wait to see what will happen in book 3.
