I was living Fabienne until the foolishness with his sister and his mini argument with Havanna . I was about to say I liked him more than Azon but that cheating and being unsafe changed my mind quickly. I’m not sure he deserved a happily ever after.

A Single Woman & The Thug Next Door 2 by Krystal Armstead, Krystal Armstead
I just finished this series and I’m just shocked by the many unhinged people and crazy situations period. While I know a lot of the plot twists were for the shock factor. I believe this just wasn’t for me. I only finished the series because a bookclub member recommended it. I’m a fan of urban fiction and if you have to include so many things that are triggering to people it is necessary to use trigger warnings. There was too much sexual assault and mental health issues in this series and I’m guessing it was all used to keep the reader invested but it honestly turned me off. This may be for someone else but this series in a whole just wasn’t for me.

I’m so over Carlos Toussaint and his “for the family” ways. I’m happy the sisters are starting to see him for who he really is. He is a man scorned that is still running off of the emotions of his brother and his wife being together cant wait for part 3 since now we know the truth about the momma.

Childhood friend find love in college but a secret Wednesday kept leads to the relationship to end. Not only does that hurt Hendrix but it hurts his twin sister Headlee as well because she was best friends with Wednesday. Years later the pair are back in Edgewood and in thriving relationships just not with each other. Wednesday is even the wedding planner for Hendrix’s wedding or maybe she’s not. Old feelings come up and the pair have a hard time trying not to react to it. When the opportunity arises sparks fly and this second chance romance keept me engaged. This was my first read from the author and I can see myself reading more in the future.

This story follows 18 year old Raven, the saxophone section lead in the band. Following a football game the band’s bus is attacked by Vampires. After this happens Raven learns she is a slayer. She has to attend the American Slayer Society to train and learn how to protect humans against the vampires.
Raven is out for revenge after that nights events. She learns how to conjure weapons through alchemy. She meets Prince Khamari , a vampire who works with the society. Raven wants to hate Khamari but she has an attraction to him that thwarts her plan of revenge on all vampires. This story was action packed after the slow start and I enjoyed the authors writing style. After reading this I need book 2 very very soon.
