Latitudes of Longing by Shubhangi Swarup
Did not finish book.
Did not finish book.
Got to page no. 178
The book is extremely superficial. Every page, in fact, every line has a metaphor in it and the author doesn't seem to be bothered by the fact that most of them do not make sense.
"....tried to match the texture of her hair to the color of the sky. "
The book is pedantic and while the story might have been good, the use of metaphors is overwhelming and it's difficult to get through the book without feeling frustrated with the extremely pseudo-intellectual nature of it.
