And when our work is done, I will carry him to the bottom of the sea, where we both belong. Deep beneath the silt our bones will turn to salt.
This was lovely and unnerving.

My partner says you can't take your eyes off a shift even if your life depended on it, and I already look at you way too much.
I had a lot of fun reading this! Cooper and Oliver are terribly endearing. I would've preferred a slow burn but I think the pace they go at fits their characters well so I can't actually complain.
If you liked the Mercy Thompson series but wished it was gay, this is for you.

I think if I gave you my heart, you would treat it tenderly.
GOD! WTF. I had such a slow burn relationship with this series but it was so worth it. Genuinely my biggest complaint is that Laurent never got to top. That's it. No other notes. 10/10

I came into this book expecting something very scandalous from what I remembered hearing about it when it first came out and was terribly disappointed.

You deny me, you puzzle me, you tear me asunder.
After disliking Dante's End by the same author I was hesitant to read this but I'm such a sucker for stories involving the fae that I had to give it a chance and I'm so glad I did! There were a few times where I thought the story was going to veer off in a direction I'd dislike only for it to twist back and keep me on my toes. Frequently it captured the horror of the fae and their magic deliciously well.
Fair warning: There is SO much sex in this, to the point where sometimes the characters just straight up lose the plot for multiple chapters, and not all of it is fully consensual. If that's not your thing, this book probably isn't for you.

These men are stupid as HELL, oscillating wildly between love, lust, and hate. Sometimes it was fun, and when it wasn't I tried to cut them some slack, but mostly I was just annoyed by it.
