This book had its ups and downs, but I ultimately really love it. The mc goes through moments where she rejects her womanhood and femininity, and I've gone through the same thing. I've recently rediscovered my femininity, so I really think I just read this at the right time.

Did not finish book. Stopped at 42%.
This was so confusing to me. The language isn't accessable at all, at least to me. The concept was interesting though.

I heard a lot of people saying that this is one of the most disturbing kids books, but I thought the most disturbing part was the author's photo on the back 😶

I usually love books about grief, especially if their by native authors because I can just relate even more, but this wasn't for me. I thought it was too short, and therefore there was just too much going on. I also thought it got a little repetitive. I liked the last chapter and the afterword though.

I've tired to read this so many times but this time finally stuck. I think the concept is super cool, and I loved the sparrows metaphor. I can't really get this book out of my head. New favorite King book.

I didn't like No Longer Human at all, but I liked this one. I don't know if people would call this a book about grief, but I think it is. I feel like the main character felt a lot of grief before the deaths actually occurred, and I don't find that often in books.

Did not finish book. Stopped at 35%.
It was easy to read and quick to get through, but I didn't care much about the story. I do wanna try other works by R.F. Kuang though.
