What a beautiful book!
Even before having finished reading it, I'd resolved to give it the highest rating possible. The ending, if anything, secured only further appreciation.
I am, what one would call a fan of the book. The characters, the liveliness of Elizabeth Bennett, the well constructed character of Mr. Darcy and so many others, prove beyond a point, that this book deserves all the praise it's been judiciously awarded over these years.
The way people present themselves and what society understands of them could be so far from the truth of their character. This subject matter has been well explored within this novel. Hence why, it can only be justified as truly remarkable and timeless.
The language of the book is very alluring, pleasing to the mind and very affirmative.
It is so much more than a romance. At its essence, it's a delightful read that reveals the very dynamics of human nature, of how easily it can be deceived or lead to deception. The acknowledgment of both pride and prejudice has been dealth with extremely well, especially when faced with circumstances where one is made to feel differently and thus act in diffidence.
I highly recommend this book to everyone :)

It was time I read a sad book after TFIOS and my friend suggested me into reading this short Indian Contemporary novel called as The Promise. She happens to say
Thus book makes you weep
It does
The story is well crafted
The characters are relatable and nice to be with, my favorite being Shambhavi and Faisal and of course my immediate love of a character ;Tutul.
And yes there are many things I've loved to do with this book.
Get supa excited with Shambhavi and weep to my hearts content with her as well
But there were flaws that kind of put me off
First the writing is not lucid and edited
The writer used conversational English even in thoughts and proceeding which is slightly annoying
I also found the book immensely poor in literature for there were but few things that talked about self realization or anything remotely related.
That's all

Didn’t find this as gripping as the last two. It was more about building grounds for what we’ve been told earlier and what is yet to come.
