The stories at the start were better than those at the end, with the exception of the princess one. I had fun with the really weird ones though!

Docked a star because we never found out Marguerite’s real name, nor did we get to hear how she got into spy work so I was disappointed. Wren also better be getting her own book cause girl deserves a wholesome romance!!! There were some parts where this one dragged - I don’t think it needed to be 400 pages tbh but I love this series so I powered through! I have no idea what the heck is going on with Judith and I’m excited to find out cause Wisdom is really interesting!! I liked Shane as a character - I know his guilt and self doubt can be irritating but I didn’t mind it too much. The thread thing was hot, wish we got a second scene!!!

I absolutely loved the setting - it was dark and atmospheric and such a pleasure to experience in this quickly paced book! And as a bonus, I love a manipulative woman. Unfortunately, I didn't love the relationship between the FMC and MMC - which tragically is the most important part of a romance novel. It was fun overall, but I occasionally found the treatment of the MMC to be grating.
