After finishing this book ten years ago, it stayed up to all I remembered and much more. Susan Collins just knows how to leave you wanting more even if you’ve read her work before!

I would’ve loved this when I was a teenager, but as an adult my suspense of disbelief can only go so far.

This was the first basketball romance I’ve ever read. And boy did I not know what I was signing up for. If you are considering to read this please read the trigger warnings to take care of yourself. I found myself having to take many breaks from this book.Other than that I enjoyed every bit of reading it took to get to the end. It had me verbally reacting and having a good time. I’d recommend if you need something to swoon over.

The first hundred pages of this book had me hooked! I was laughing and even sending quotes to my friends and boyfriend. Before I get too deep into my thoughts let me share my top three.

Quote #1 “Now, why do I still have a bad feeling? What could be wrong? The Bible verse could not have been more positive. Anyway the trick to life is, if you don’t like what is happening, go back to sleep until it stops”

If I could live by one quote it would be this one. ^

Quote #2  “You can say anything to me."
"Well, I say. "There are parts of my life I'd like to share with someone, one day. Not you, but someone."
He raises his eyebrows.
"I was watching monster trucks on TV last night, and I was thinking, Monster trucks are great. They're big and loud and fun. It would be so great if I could meet someone who has a love of big trucks, one day."

This one had me thinking the mc needed a character who loved hot wheels 💀^

Quote #3 “Do you want to know THE LORD? He wants to know you. Haha, just kidding, he probably doesn’t. THE LORD is quite choosy, actually. He doesn’t show himself to everyone. When He picks you, wow, do you know about it”

Straight up, I’m thinking of using this quote at the beginning of a book I’m writing, it just hits too hard^

Now besides the fun part of this review after I got passed the first hundred pages I felt my willpower to finish the book start to grow slower. The ending of the book was phenomenal for the tough subject matter the author choose to write about, respect is due there. I wouldn’t recommend to everyone but I’d recommend if you want a one time kinda fun but slower read.
